1. Written by jwilk on October 16, 2011 I will say, I have no complaints about RAC..The only thing I wish is that they take new credit apps from the consumers as well as the dealerships. I would use them again.
2. Written by betty on March 24, 2011 I agreed with you. Regional Acceptance also contacted my references and did speak with me. There representative Sandra telephoned my job and left a message with my supervisior about me. I think Regional Acceptance is a crazy company that preys on people who have challenged credit. It is a shame that they practice this. I can't wait until they are sued. Let them know what it feels like to be harrassed everyday. I also can't wait to finish my loan.
3. Written by Foolish on January 20, 2011 I agreed with the comments written. Regional Acceptance Corporation is a rip off. They target people with challenge credit and put high interest rates on them and charge extra if you are late. It is a shame that they do this. Maybe someone should look into the company. I have a loan with them and can't wait to pay it off. I advise people not to deal with them. They are a shady company. I can tell by the responses. I was foolish to get involved with them; but never again. I will only be a fool once.
4. Written by RACgirl on October 14, 2010 Mgaines - The reason we do not discuss trading is because we are a loan company. You have to take that up with a dealership where you find a more desirable car. Also the reason we do not discuss lowering your payments is because we do not refinance. You would have to contact a local bank in your area in order to do so. No one put a gun to your head to sign the contract. From what I can tell from your comment, you did not read the contract thoroughly. The payment, APR, the amount of interest you will pay, late charge amount, etc it right on the front of the contract. It is not hidden and the contract is not full of legal jargon, but very easy to read. I do not mean this in a rude way, but please be responsible for your own actions and choices instead of blaming Regional. Jes- The only time we can contact your references is if we can't contact you or you refuse to answer/return our calls. I would bet a month's worth of pay that if I looked up your account tomorrow, I would find evidence of where we have tried to call with no success. Also, your father was the primary on the loan because he had better credit than you. The loan is based off of his credit, not yours. Any way you look at it, (or READ it on the contract) he is still just as responsible for the loan as you are.
5. Written by jes on August 31, 2010 They did the same to me and I did make my payments on time for 3 years the minute I was late on one payment they called all my references and gave them all my information and didn't even call me...so I decided I didn't want to deal with them anymore and gave the car back now they are billing my father and saying he is the primary account holder when he just co- signed... these people are terrible and very rude
6. Written by Ray on March 6, 2010 Why not look at them as a company that loaned you money for a car when no one else would even consider giving you the time of day. Pay for the car in a timely manner and your credit score should rise....then see what it is like to shop for a vehicle with the power of a consumer that pays his bills on time.
