LOOK AT YOUR STATEMENTS!!! Worse Customer Service and Ripoff
I just finished paying off my 2006 Jeep Liberty, which I bought used in about 2010. So through life's trials and tribulations I finally managed to get it paid off.
They were helpful through those tough times. HOWEVER!! Now that the car is paid off, they need a lesson in math. When I thought I was paying it off, I went online to check to make sure that the balance read $0 (and for gratification!) and it showed a balance of $4.25.
I kinda thought this was for interest that had accrued but it also showed a 10 day pay off and a 20 day pay off, which i feel is irrelevant considering I was not paying it off. It was already paid off. Now I called a few weeks prior to see about getting the balance lowered for paying it off EARLY. She said no that balance was what the current balance showed.
I said okay and decided to pay what was due. A few days later I went ahead and made another payment to pay it off which should have gone directly to the principal. After what i thought was the final payment they tried to tell me it was a 10 day pay off that I INQUIRED about a few weeks ago. NOW, let me add I chose to go Paperless!
Okay. Now, If i go paperless and I get an email reminder that my bill is ready, that says pay your bill. Correct? So not opening the emailed statement, I pay the bill online.
Now one would assume that as generic as the online options are it would include EVERYTHING (late fees, Insufficient funds fees, interest, etc). So when I make my payment online and it accepts my payment and it also shows that my account is current, I assume everything is OK! I am here to tell you people, its not. That online info does not reflect everything that is on the statement.
When I asked about the breakdown of what they said I owed which was like $59 they said it was from late fees (from when? they refused to answer the question), Insuffiecient Funds fees ( almost 1.5 yrs ago when I switched bank accounts), and interest! On top of the fact that the online information does not match the statement, it does not match what THEY are looking at on their computer, nor does it match when it was talking to me on the phone versus what the online information was reading, The office address for this state, does not exist. Then looking at the statement corporate is supposedly in NC on the payment portion of the statement and the to of the statement shows an address in birmingham, AL.
With the amount of money they got out of me, which will never happen again, you thought they would have said, "ma'am, we appreciate your business, we are going to go ahead and take care of the $59 for you, blah blah, blah" But rest assured people you will never, ever hear that come from them. DO NOT do business with these people!

Terrible Service
I got a car loan from Regional Acceptance 03/2007. My finance rate was 16.9%.
The car was priced at $18,995. My payment was $436 per month. Do you want to know how long it took me to pay this car off? 6 years.....
I ended up paying over $30,000 for the car. Robbery is what I call it. How can they do that to people? I went to the credit union to get a car loan and was told that Regional Acceptance put a 90 day late payment on my credit in 2007, can you believe they will not remove it.
The car has been paid off so why would they not remove it.
I would not recommend anyone to get a loan from them. If you have a had time, they will make you pay for it.
- Easy online payment process
- Way they keep call me
- Car loan
- Overcharged loans
Preferred solution: Remove incorrect information from my credit report

Horrible all around! DO NOT FINANCE WITH THEM!!!
Worst company ever. I have asked to refinance my car for lower payments and so they say they don't offer refinancing but they have other companies that do that they work with.
I'm waiting to see what they say about me removing my gap insurance. I have talked to other banks for refinancing but the amount I owe on the car is more than what it is worth. I will never again finance through them and I highly recommend others to look elsewhere.
Also they call you the day your payment is due and every day after like you don't know it is due. I have received about 20 to 30 calls a day from them.
Preferred solution: Reduce my loan so I can refinance the vehicle
Unlawfully puts charge offs /late payments on credit

YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!
The interest rate is determined by YOUR credit worthiness. It was YOU who developed a reputation of not paying YOUR bills on time.
Thus, YOU did not qualify for a lower APR bank loan. If YOU didn't want to be placed with a subprime lender, then YOU should have paid YOUR bills on time. Secondly, YOU have NO KNOWLEDGE of what "amortization" is. ALL auto loans and many other types follow an amortization schedule in which more money is applied to interest in the beginning of a loan.
This is STANDARD!!! That's what makes it hugely funny! By the end of the loan, all the interest and all the principle is paid down to zero!
There's no "ah hah" moment here where you think you "caught" them doing something wrong! Looks like you'll need to find some other reason to nitpick them because you just can't stand the consequences your husband brought upon himself for his failure to pay on time!
21 %,is not standard for a car loan you moran! This company rips people off
21% and higher is the APR for you people who have given yourselves a documented and verified track record of NOT paying YOUR bills on time! If you think the APR is too high, just go to any bank and apply for a loan to pay them off!
Oh, I see...none of the banks will touch you with a ten foot pole because of YOUR reputation of NOT paying YOUR bills! No, I don't work for them!
Yeah you do quit lying
High interest rates like this are also given to people who don't have much credit built up yet regardless of the score, AKA young people who may be in a bind for a vehicle. So there's that.
