Predatory lending

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Paid over $14k on a $28,790 loan; balance flat.
  • - Most payments cover interest/fees; late fees.
  • - CFPB complaint filed May 7, 2025; acknowledged.

Despite paying over $14,000 on a $28,790 loan, my balance remains virtually unchanged. The loan is

structured so that most payments go toward interest and fees.

Ive been charged dozens of late fees and

unexplained charges while making regular payments.

This feels predatory and unfair under federal and

Texas law.

I've also experienced unexplained reversals and extensions that increase the cost and duration of my loan.

This may violate fair lending or disclosure laws.

I have filed a formal complaint with the CFPB (submitted May 7, 2025), and Regional Acceptance has

acknowledged it but has not yet resolved the issue. I am seeking legal advice before engaging furtheR

User's recommendation: Steer clear

HILARIOUS! Another serial deadbeat who doesn't know what they are talking about!

In ALL loans of this type, interest is paid first. Any time YOU are late, YOU cause more interest to be generated along with late fees.

Why not become a stand up comedian. You are HILARIOUS!

You did what every grifter does. Sign up for a 36% loan with a long term then complain afterwards.

You figured you’d take the money and complain later. So here’s the thing Mr. MBA, go get that low interest loan that exists AND you qualify for and pay the initial one off.

Face it. You cared not one bit as long as you got that money.

Can not get refund check deposited

AI Highlights
  • - Vehicle bought with husband as co-applicant; divorced; he filed bankruptcy.
  • - Refund in both names; banks need both signatures; distance prevents deposit.
Updated by user Apr 22, 2025

Crickets, nothing… but that seems to be the norm with this company. They don’t respond to emails, or voicemails, rarely will you actually speak to a live person when calling customer service.

Original review Apr 07, 2025
Purchased my vehicle with my husband as a co-applicant. Have since divorced; he filed bankruptcy, so now when I call, I'm always sent to the bankruptcy department.

Tried to contact for refinance and get him off the loan, but they only offered to refinance for the full price at the time of purchase, which negates all previous payments and starts the loan all over again, making me pay that money all over again. I opted not to refinance and instead just keep paying the loan. Now, I've paid the vehicle off, and they issued a refund, but in both our names, which makes it useless. The bank won't deposit the check because he's not on my bank account, and I live in Texas while he lives in Missouri, so we can't just meet at the bank and deposit.

Both my bank and his want us both at the branch to deposit the check, which is not feasible, again rendering the refund useless.

The finance company is aware of this and will not offer any additional assistance other than this dead check. This needs to be resolved immediately.
Loss:
$170
Cons:
  • Can never talk to anyone that have offered solutions

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Do not use this company.. RUNNNN

Refund checks will always be issued to the names on the account responsible for payment. You don’t have a loss.

You have a situation with a solution you can’t/won’t do. You can be unhappy about it, but that’s not a loss.

Awful Loan Tatics and Never able to reach to NOT RESOLVE

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Deferment not applied; loan past due since 2017.
  • - Recovery won’t provide payoff amount; calls ignored; may contact attorney general.

I call them EVERYDAY! Has this loan over since 2017 payment never goes down.I am suppose to have a deferment for 3 months after making a payment and then to find out later they did not do the deferement.

Now my account is past due to the point of recovery because of the months being further past due. Talk to someone in recovery to provide me with the amount I need to get it out and bring it to current and they were suppose to call me back (the supervisor) It has been over days again and still have not received a call. It is already bad that they have been robbing me all these years but to try me with paying the whole amount of the loan they have lost their mind!!! There is no way.

If they do not resolve my issue I will be getting an attorney. They ignore your calls on purpose to act like they do not get an answer. Enough is enough and they are NOT going to destroy me the way I see that are doing others. I will be reaching out to the attorney general ASAP !!!

How do these people get a way with this!!! DO NOT GO TO THEM THEY ARE APART OF BBT AND TRUIST WHICH I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER BECAUSE BB&T HAD A LAWSUIT YEARS AGO WITH PEOPLE MONEY!!!

Cons:
  • High interest payment dont go down call and dont say nothing

Preferred solution: I will like my account out of recovery. My deferement approved as promise so that I can get my account back on track. It was not my fault that I was promise this.

User's recommendation: DO NOT GO TO THEM THEY ARE APART OF BBT AND TRUIST WHICH I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER BECAUSE BB&T HAD A LAWSUIT YEARS AGO WITH PEOPLE MONEY!!!!

Easy solution....don't generate more interest and late fees by paying late but in very typical serial deadbeat fashion, its always somebody else's fault.

Guest

Had the same thing with these people. I had about 24 other people wanting us to do a lawsuit against the.

But we were told because of the terms in everyone's paperwork it states we cannot do that but only arbitration. So we all write a letter to your Attorney General to your state.

Also to the consumer credit. This way the more people doing this all the attorney generals will eventually get the word.

They don't know how to properly process a refund from a duplicate payment

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - December had a duplicate payment; I asked for a refund.
  • - They say I owe for Dec or Jan; I want a real person to call.

In December I made a duplicate payment and requested a refund of one payment. They refunded one payment and now say I owe December payment or January one, I don't really know because I also made a January payment.

Not sure how I owe when I paid December and January both. I called them a couple weeks ago and they were supposed to get it corrected. In stead the deducted another payment and then refunded it back to back. I called again today and they still say I owe a month's payment.

I was sent to a supervisor and got disconnected. I called back and got disconnected AGAIN trying to speak to whomever it is that thinks I owe them a past payment.

I am over this crap! If they want to get my account cleared up someone will have to CALL ME, not an automated message asking me to call them, but A PERSON NEEDS TO CALL ME!!!

User's recommendation: Don't make duplicate payments on purpose or accident.

Duplicate Payment-Refund process

AI Highlights
  • - Accidental duplicate payment was made via the app on 12/15.
  • - On 12/16 a rep said an email would cancel one payment, but nothing was done.

I'm VERY irritated with the process of trying to cancel a duplicate payment. I made a accidental duplicate payment via your app on Friday 12/15.

I called a customer rep on 12/16 who said she sent an email to her lead to cancel one of the two payments and come to find out when I called moments ago, NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE WITH MY CALL!!! How can I trust that it is actually going to be refunded?

I have a sneaky feeling that if I don't call every day that nothing will get refunded. In fact, i think i'll dispute it with my bank as well to be sure I get my money back, you bunch of thieves!!

User's recommendation: Don't use their app to make a payment.. it can be confusing

Unfortunately for you it doesn’t work that way. The bank CAN repossess but is not obligated to. As long as they have not repossessed the car, it is still legally yours and you still owe the payments.
